Shevitt allegedly failed to file a state income tax return for three consecutive years. The article states that “the tax fraud came to light during an investigation by the Westchester County District Attorney’s office into the defendant’s consignment business.” The article goes on to mention that if he’s convicted, he could face up to seven years in a state prison.
